Terms of Service

Last updated: 20 April 2026

By using oakcalculator.com ("the site"), you agree to these terms. The site is operated by The Nomad Company Inc. ("we", "us", "our"), a corporation registered in Ontario, Canada.

The site is provided "as is"

We provide the calculators and content on this site for informational purposes only, with no warranty of any kind, express or implied. We work hard to keep formulas accurate (see our methodology), but we can't guarantee that every result is error-free at every moment.

Not professional advice

Nothing on this site constitutes financial, medical, legal, tax, engineering, or other professional advice. For decisions that affect your money, your health, or your legal position, consult a qualified professional. Calculators are a fast reference, not a substitute for one.

Accuracy and corrections

We correct errors when we find them or when you report them. See our correction process. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on the site's content.

Intellectual property

The site's content — editorial text, calculator implementations, design, brand marks — is owned by The Nomad Company Inc. or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may view, cite, and link to the site for personal and non-commercial purposes. Bulk reproduction, scraping, or republishing without written permission is prohibited.

Acceptable use

Don't attempt to break, abuse, or disrupt the site — including denial-of-service attempts, unauthorised crawling at unreasonable rates, circumventing access controls, or using automated systems to generate excessive requests. Respectful crawling that honours robots.txt is welcome.

Third-party services

The site uses third-party services (listed in the Privacy Policy). Their terms apply alongside these. We are not responsible for the conduct of third-party services we link to.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes are announced in the site changelog. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be submitted to the courts of Ontario.
